If you only have one full day in Seoul, this is the one.

Min takes you through 5 of Seoul's hidden gems in a single carefully crafted day — from a mountain right in the heart of the city — because that's the thing about Seoul: nature and urban life exist side by side in a way that surprises everyone. You hike along the ancient Hanyangdoseong City Wall, descend through Korea's most beautiful traditional village, wander secret alleys untouched by tourism, and finish at one of Seoul's most legendary food markets.

Everything is included: snacks, traditional tea, and a market lunch at Gwangjang Market to finish. Small group (max 8). The kind of day that makes you feel like you actually know Seoul.

Why this walk?
Each stop on this route is a place Min visits herself. Not a tourist attraction — a real place, with real stories. This is the Seoul that only locals know, and Min makes it accessible to everyone.
01
Bugaksan Mountain
The mountain directly behind Gyeongbokgung Palace. Historically closed until 2007. Stunning views of the palace, city, and mountains from above — still relatively undiscovered.
02
Bukchon Hanok Village
Seoul's most iconic traditional neighborhood — 900 years of history, tile-roofed hanok houses, narrow stone lanes. Min shows you the parts most tourists never find.
03
Samcheongdong
A charming village of galleries, cafes, and independent boutiques tucked between Bukchon and Gyeongbokgung. A local favorite that feels a world away from the tourist trail.
04
Seosunra-gil
One of Seoul's best-kept secrets — a tiny historic alley running beneath the old palace walls. Min explains the history of the people who lived and worked here for centuries.
05
Gwangjang Market
The grand finale. One of Korea's oldest and most beloved food markets — over 100 years old. Min guides you to her favourite vendors for a lunch of legendary Korean market food.
  • Start
Meet at Hyehwa Station (Line 4), Exit 1
Min greets the group, gives a brief overview of the day's route and the history of the area. The perfect starting point — right at the edge of the old city, where the Hanyangdoseong City Wall begins.
  • ~3 hrs
Bugaksan Mountain — City Wall Hike
We begin with the hike — a steady 3-hour walk along the Hanyangdoseong City Wall, Seoul's 600-year-old fortress wall that winds up and over Bugaksan. Pine forests, original wall stones, and sweeping panoramas of central Seoul below. Snacks on the way up. And if you're lucky — wild deer. They still roam freely up here.
  • ~1 hr
Bukchon Hanok Village & Traditional Tea
Descending into Bukchon — Min navigates the lesser-known lanes, sharing the stories of the aristocratic families who lived here during the Joseon period. Then, a stop at a café with a stunning view, well away from the crowds, for a well-earned cup of traditional Korean tea.
  • ~45 min
    Samcheongdong & Anguk-dong
A leisurely walk through Samcheongdong and Anguk-dong — gallery-lined streets, independent boutiques, and quiet corners that feel nothing like the tourist trail. Some of the best walking in Seoul.
  • ~30 min
    Seosunra-gil
One of Seoul's most talked-about streets right now — a narrow lane running along the stone walls of Jongmyo Shrine, lined with cafes, restaurants, and bars. Great food, great drinks, and an atmosphere unlike anywhere else in the city. Pure Seoul vibes.
  • ~1 hr
Gwangjang Market — Lunch & Finish
The grand finale. Min takes you to her favourite spots inside Gwangjang Market for lunch — the iconic bindaetteok (crispy mung bean pancake) and bibimbap or noodles. The perfect way to finish a perfect Seoul day.
  • End
    Farewell at Jongno 5-ga Station
We wrap up at the market exit. Min shares her personalized restaurant and activity recommendations for the rest of your Seoul trip before you head off.
